Many books have no audiobook. With Aura, your EPUB books can still read to you: on the bus, on a walk, or with your eyes closed.
How it works
- Import an EPUB file into Aura, or share it to Aura from another app.
- Pick a voice you like. Hear a preview before you download it.
- Press play. Aura reads the book and marks each sentence as it goes.
Made for long books
- Your place is saved. Close the app, and Aura continues from the same sentence next time.
- Background listening. Lock your phone and keep listening. Use the lock-screen controls to pause.
- Your speed. Choose a reading speed that is comfortable for you.
- Save an audiobook. Export a narration as an M4A file to play in any audio player.
- Read in comfort. Pick the font, text size, line spacing and theme.
Books with no DRM
Aura opens standard EPUB files. It cannot open books that are locked with copy protection (DRM) by a store. Many publishers and libraries of free books offer EPUB files with no DRM.
Listen with no connection
After you download a voice, Aura needs no internet to read. A long flight is a good time for a long book. Read more about offline listening.
