- Open Aura and import the PDF, or share it to Aura from your files, email or browser.
- Pick a voice. The first time, Aura downloads the speech model and the voice.
- Press play. Aura marks the sentence it is reading.

- Follow along. Aura highlights one sentence at a time, so you never lose your place.
- Choose the speed. Slow down for hard material, or speed up for a quick review.
- Skip around. Jump back or forward one sentence at a time.
- Lock your phone. Aura keeps reading in the background, with controls on the lock screen.
- Come back later. Aura starts where you stopped.
- Keep it as audio. Save the narration as an M4A file and play it anywhere.
Which PDFs work
Aura reads PDFs that contain real text: text you can select and copy. Most PDFs made from a word processor or a website are like this.
A scanned PDF is only a picture of text. Aura cannot read it as a file. For a printed page, take a photo and let Aura find the text.
Your PDFs stay on your phone
